Great success for Diasen at Venice Innovation Design, the meeting held on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 July on the Venetian island of San Servolo. The appointment dedicated to visions, ideas and projects of sustainable design saw the participation of 100 among building and living professionals, journalists of the main sector magazines and communication agencies managers who gave life to an intense two days of debates, round tables and speeches.
Diasen took part in the meeting scheduled for Saturday afternoon and dedicated to ‘The ways of creative sustainability’ as one of the eight #Greenheroes invited to the event, the non-profit organisation launched by Alessandro Gassman with the scientific support of Kyoto Club and represented in Venice by Annalisa Corrado who presented and introduced this group of realities committed to doing business in an innovative and sustainable way.
Representing Diasen was marketing manager Gian Pietro Simonetti, who in his speech recalled how the company ‘has long since completed its ecological transition, moving from traditional to green chemistry through the choice of cork and natural materials that have allowed Diasen to thematise the theme of comfort and wellbeing of people in living spaces in a new and sustainable way’.
In his speech, Simonetti also highlighted the original ways in which Diasen has become part of the cork supply chain: the centrality of reusing the surpluses generated by cork stopper production in the building industry, the ten-year renewability of the bark, the circular economy paths, the need to protect a unique and unrepeatable Mediterranean ecosystem, and the extraordinary properties of a material that allows us to interpret protection from heat in the Mediterranean area in a new way.
The professionals present at San Servolo had the chance to know, appreciate and deepen Diasen solutions in the exhib area, the space dedicated to companies to give concreteness and strengthen the operativity of the best ideas present, and many of them were given the company publications dedicated to the cork supply chain and to the important works realised by the company in the world. Diasen’s speech was given ample space in the Green Heroes socials and in that of Venice Innovation Design, which did not hesitate to define as revolutionary the company from Sassoferrato led with visionary flair by Diego Mingarelli.
