This system provides the complete waterproofing of slabs and vertical foundation walls, through the use of Bentotelo a geocomposite made ​​of natural sodium bentonite.
Bentotelo is a composite self-sealing nonwoven fabric TNT, saturated with bentonite and perfectly sewn to the polypropylene fabric. Once in contact with dampness the bentonite contained inside the sheet expands its volume, becoming quickly a waterproofing gel.
Bentotelo is spreaded over the whole surface of the foundation, and then it’s covered by an additional concrete casting, so to confine it, creating in this way a continuous insulating layer, that allows to waterproof completely the foundation structure from the dampness.
Overlappings between the sheets must be sealed before concrete casting, applying a bentonite paste obtained by mixing with water the Bentosand bentonite powder; which can also be used for the sealing of passing elements or for filling holes or substrate irregularities.
