This system provides waterproofing treatment of vertical, horizontal or sloping surfaces, affected by water infiltrations in counterthrust.
Through the use of the epoxy-cement liquid waterproofing WATstop it is possible to realise a coating that, in just 2 mm of thickness, is able to resist to hydrostatic pressures up to 9.5 ATM, both in negative and positive thrust.
Unlike traditional systems based on the use of osmotic cements and plasters, which require at least 1,5 cm of thickness, WATstop can guarantee a resistance even to very high pressures, in a very limited thickness, and with laying less invasive and complex than other technologies.
Once the three components of WATstop are been mixed, is obtained a paste that can be applied, depending by the percentage of water added, by roller, brush or trowel. After application, WATstop creates a continuous and uniform layer that blocks definitively any kind of infiltration and rising dampness.
In addition to its high waterproofing features, WATstop is characterized by a high mechanical resistance, and consequently it can be easily coated with plasters, smoothers, paints, tiles, parquet or acrylic, epoxy and polyurethane coatings; this because WATstop works as an excellent adhesion bridge for all those materials generally used in building industry.
