This system creates an ultra-reflective protective coating for all bituminous and slate membranes, both new and pre-existing, through the use of Oriplast Reflex, which thanks to its high reflectance (> 90%) is able to reflect and therefore reject a high amount of solar energy. The result is a decrease in the surface temperature and that of the environment below the treated substrate, resulting in significant savings on summer air conditioning costs. In non-conditioned buildings, on the other hand, indoor summer comfort increases.
Recent studies on the subject have also shown that the use of ultra-reflective materials in combination with photovoltaic panels allows to significantly increase the performance of the latter in terms of efficiency.
The product contributes to the reduction of the Heat Island Effect, a phenomenon of temperature rise that is generated in urban areas compared to the temperature of rural areas.
The reflective action of Oriplast Reflex also helps protect the underlying sheath from aging, significantly extending its duration and effectiveness over time.
