Valencian Historical Building: the sustainable restauration of comfort.
The port city of Valencia lies on the south-east coast of Spain, where the Turia River meets the Mediterranean Sea. In one of these streets, which extends into the oldest part of Valencia’s historic centre, there is a historic palace to which Diasen solutions have been applied.
The technical pillars of the intervention
The Valencia Building, abandoned for years, has been entirely renovated thanks to the use of 4 cm of Diathonite Evolution.
The Diasen solution was approved by the Superintendence of Cultural Heritage thanks to its 100% natural composition and thanks to the compatibility of cork and lime with the existing masonry.
One of the requirements of the intervention was to insulate with a relatively small thickness. Finally, the building was finished with Argacem Colorato.
Thermal Conductivity
λ = 0,045 W/mK
Thanks to the right mix of carefully selected natural raw materials, the product achieves high levels of thermal insulation.
Fire resistant
Class A1
Classified in class A1 according to UNI EN ISO 13501-1. No flame generation and no smoke emission.
Breathability
μ: 4
Thanks to the high value of permeability (μ), the humidity of the indoors is perfectly balanced, thus avoiding the formation of moulds and condensation.
Used products
D20
The water-based primer that improves the adhesion of plasters and finishes.
Argacem Colored
Argacem Colorato is the fastest solution to finish Diathonite insulating and dehumidifying systems.
